Ladies & gentlemen,

I noticed that one of my dwarves gained an extension to his name. Formerly known as Lor Kendomas "Lor Whimsguild" , he his now refered as Lor Kendomas Adilnicat Neshast "Lor Whimsguild the Walled Chain of Risk". 

I just wondered why he gained this extension to his name. No other dwarf did it (so far) so I guess it's related to something unique he did but what ? Is it related to the few goblins (4) and dwarf (1) he killed ?

Yes, you get an extended name if you kill people. Pets and adventurers also seem to have this.
A really cool feature imo.

Anyone who gets at least 5 notable kills gets an extended name.

There was a carp in the river with such an extended title on an old fortress. I think his was extended twice, even, because it was quite long and grandiose..

Yep that's one notable dwarf. It's pretty cool unless the nickname is a rediculous one.

I remember this one adventurer a male human with the title the meandering queen of competition. That sucked

With (non-pet) animals, the first kill gives it a name at all. Then the 5th kill gives it a title.
