I can't get the + and - keys regarding links to work properly. This includes both the practice links in the help file and the links for adding skills to a new adventurer. The text at the bottom of the skills screen says "-+ to change" but when I highlight a skill, nothing happens when I press + or -. In the help file, it says "Press +- to move between any highlighted links" but that doesn't work either. So the only manual file I can access in-game is the Introduction because it's the first one.

Why don't +/- effects work, and how can I get them to work? I've made sure caps lock is off, and I've tried it both ways, with caps lock on, or with shift, or ctrl even. Nothing works. I can't increment skills and I can't access the rest of the manual. Help?

I'm on a Dell laptop with Windows XP, if it matters.

It's not the actual + and - keys at the top of the keyboard, it's the ones that are on the side by the number pad.

Most laptops have a Function Key and a simulated keypad over, like ... the Y U O P (and more rows down) keys.  First couple months of playing this game, I was forced to use those to scroll.

Oh! Thanks. That's indeed the problem. Sorry, guess it wasn't a bug, just something kind of misleading. I've never seen the regular +/- and keypad +/- not work identically before.

alternativly you could use the on-board screen keyboard...What? i have one!...dam Toshiba xp computers don't have the num pad...
