The Guoliang tunnel, made in 1972 by 13 untrained Chinese peasants with hand tools. The tunnel is 5 meters high (15 ft) and 4 meters (12 ft) wide, long 1.200 meters (3/4 of a mile) and was excavated in five years time. Some of the villagers died in accidents during the construction.

A very good example, hopefully tunnels would look like this, but cliffs or steep mountains are rare to find.

Tunnels used to be in DF, however they were equivalent to underground roads and were just slapped down, forming a bridge when they reached a cavern opening, they were removed when the mountainhomes were.
