So Goblins are the evil dead?
« on: June 24, 2011, 01:38:43 am »

From the latest Threetoe story:
"It is not a fair shore, nor a bountiful forest," said the monk. "It is the Underworld we seek. It is the Land of the Evil Dead, birthplace of the goblins. Here I am condemned for my crimes, and from here I shall escape."

Are they like zombies, or really just evil possessed fluffy wamblers or something?

(edit) Reading more of it, the Underworld seems full of them anyway. Them and trolls. I guess one is the larval form of the other? And aren't Hell and the Underworld the same?

They're demon spawn, the slade's jealous imitation of dwarven perfection.

I wouldn't really call them zombies based on that statement.

The evil dead go to the underworld. The goblins come from there. Two different things.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Also, it seems like Toady wants to make the planes of existence procedurally generated, so it'd be different for each world either way.
