I listen to 106.5 The Arch, a music-playing radio station based in STL.

Feel free to post some quotes from the DJ(s), Announcer or whoever speaks on the station.

The announcer dude from the station (his name escapes me) has said a lot of things, I'll post some of my favorites.

"Let's play this much variety before the Glee kids remake it."
"Last time I went to Funky Town I got a ticket for jaywalking."
"It's AAAAAALLLLLLLL about the variety."

I don't listen to the radio at all unless I'm in a vehicle with someone who enjoys it. All the radio stations in South Australia seem to play the same songs every day, play bad rap, play autotuned garbage or sometimes all of the above.

Those two criteria outlined 90% of today's music industry and all of today's hits.

107.7 The End. A Seattle alternative-ish station. I don't live in Washington State, but I'm close enough that you can get good reception on most radios (and they stream online). They still have a huge hardon for the 90s Seattle grunge scene, which I appreciate, and the new music they play is generally good stuff. Also, loveline at night  <3

Shitty station number 1.
Shitty station number 2.
Shitty station number 3.
Old stuff that's okay for nostalgia if you're 40 years old, maybe, but eh, whatever.
Yet another shitty station.

Back in Indiana, we had a station that played a bunch of cool oldish stuff, like Devo and Men Without Hats. :<
New Wave, right, that's what it's called.

www.di.fm - The best in electronic dance music and electronic music in general.

www.stereomood.com - saudade and tango = sexier than the sex/kinky moods

www.last.fm - pandora-ish helps you find new artists like those you like

soma.fm - San Franciscan original station. hippie/hip/hipster/crazy overall just great music.

I support local NPR -KQED- and so should you!~

I've always been fond of the local NPR broadcasts for getting news, and am really fond of Radio Lab.

When I'm looking for music, the local station from my university may have horribly amateur announcers, but they play some of the most unique music I'd never hear otherwise. They actually had a show where they played some of the old wax cylinders music was first recorded on. Really neat stuff!
