"Nauseated by the sun"
« on: August 28, 2006, 06:22:00 pm »

Recnetly, my legendary miner who "Likes working outdoors", was mining through the river, getting limestone, when he suddenly threw up. I checked out why in his profile, and it said he was "Nauseated by the sun". He wasn't outdoors.

Ah, there was a mistake -- even the light from the ceiling windows left of the river was causing sun sickness.  Now it's restricted to the outdoor areas.  You'll still only start to become cave adapted to the right of the river.  The "likes outdoors" is currently just referring to weather and so on -- the dwarves aren't aware of their own cave adaption until it's too late, but I could change the messages up at some point.

Oooooooooh. So I guess there is kind of a drawback to just pushing as far right as you can at the very start and building your fortress there, as seems to be the popular trend.
