Jamestown is a pretty great bullet-hell game that's still easy to get into if you're new to the genre.

Nitronic Rush is a racing game about driving ridiculously fast and doing mad jumpz. It starts out pretty normal but by the second half you're doing constant wall-flips at 200 MPH.

EDIT: I'm seconding the Tribes: Ascend recommendation. It's not your standard FPS; there's a very heavy focus on fast, fluid movement.

well 'fast paced' is usually contextual, many a game is simutaneously fast and slow paced depending on which players you ask but:

Mount & Blade (maybe not in the way you were thinking, but regardless)

Men of War (gets fast when shit gets real {Only in multiplayer})

BF3 I guess

Arma 2 OA (Depends on the server really and sometimes takes a while to get into combat, but things DO get frantic)

None of these games may be fast enough for you.

Doom deathmatch is faster than all of those games combined.
Good players can rack up 20+ kills in under a minute, and average life expectancy is about 5 seconds.

S4League is a very fast and fun online, team vs team, action-tps game. I've been searching hard, but have yet to find a more recent game with action so fast and frantic.

If you like Metal Slug, you'll like Deadly 30. Here's the website and here's a trailer. Basically, it's a Metal Slug clone where you fend off zombies using a WW2 team of soldiers. An American GI with a Machine Gun, a Russian Conscript with a rifle and a Wehrmacht Soldier with a Shotgun. You have a base and some limited base-building / resource management. Pretty fun, very hard at your first couple of tries and afterwards, you'll be blasting through 30 levels. Well, blasting indeed. Preferably the zombies. But they can and will nail you if you aren't careful.

Prototype is pretty fast paced too, although it's difficult to die in it.
