Source Modeling
« on: June 13, 2011, 11:08:41 pm »

I've just started trying to make some models for TF2. Having alot of trouble, so here's a question. Is there a way to modify a custom model that's already made?

I have no experience with modelling for the source engine, but I however talked with alot of people who do.

The tf2 models can be extracted from the game, if tools are not provided by valve (Through the source SDK), this might not be considered legal, but considering what source model files are used for in both gmod and other mods rules might be a little different as there is even a guide for it on valves on wiki: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Modifying_a_Source_Model_in_Maya
