Well I was just wandering around in adventure mode when I came across what looks like a bridge.


It also had walls surrounding the south and north side of it. I was able to climb these via slope.


Has anyone come across anything like this before?

Yeah, civs build them all the time. If you would actually travel over the roads they build and not fast-travel you would see dozens of bridges.
Usually they aren't as well placed as yours and tend to just be stuck in the side of a mountain or hill though >.<

If you look under them you may find trolls.

I think you'll find the only real trolls related to the bridges are the architects in charge.

That explains the troll architects that sometimes come with goblin sieges.
