If possible, get out of the water (swimming to the edge, grabbing the branch, ...)

> You try to jump in the water, thrusting yourself upwards

> Branch seems to be a lot higher

> You swim to the edge, the pit looks like a sphere with it's top cut off a little

Take a deep breath, dive and take a look at the shining item (or at least try)

*there are boulders down there, but you may fit*

> Taking a deep breath you swim down as fast as you can

> Squishing thru' the boulders, you reach the light

> That seems to be a blue orb

> You take the orb and feel alot lighter

> You notice that you are losing your air and you go up holding the orb

> You are back under the branch, what will you do next?

A glowing orb in an underwater cave... quite familiar

Examine the orb closely, touch it and rub it.

Where is it actually familiar from?

> You examine the orb, you touch and rub it

> Nothing actually seems to happen, for some time

> You start to feel even lighter and start to rise up in the air

> You go through branches

> You attempt to get down or move away

*there is a giant fortress below you and you are in the middle garden*

> What will you do next?

(It's from an adventure game Called "Space quest 2". You have to find this glowing gem (there is green instead of blue), as a light source. It was in an underwater cave, that's where I got stuck in the game, that's why I clearly remember it)

Have we landed in the garden or are we still floating?

Ask them where we are, pretending to be somewhat crazy.

> A conversation between you starts, he tells you that this fortress is a prison - including everyone's copies in that family's mansion

> He tells you that you are the first one to arrive here from outside and you may be able to get the folk out of here and free their souls

So to recap:
We found a dust-covered book, in the V sector.
Inside it was an amethyst key.
The vault contained a gold bar engraved with the same symbol as the amethyst key.
The vault door, opened with the amethyst key, opened a portal to a cave.
The cave consisted of stairs leading down. Halfway through there was a vault like the one in the mansion.
We continued to descend, the ceiling collapsed and the cave was flooded.
We managed to swim up through a "well"
We recovered a blue glowing orb from the bottom of the cave.
The orb allowed us to float off, from the opening in the well.
We landed into a garden.

Start checking entrances to the garden.
