I found a bunch of weird walls in the village where I found my adventurer, they kind of looked like this:

Sizes aren't correct, but what's with this?

You could back up the region folder, abandon, take the screenshot, restore the backup and continue.
Although that's a lot of effort to sate idle curiosity

Just a bridge. Doesn't appear to be particularly fail, but I can't tell with yer tileset

Humans will not detour a road if there is a puddle in the way.  They prefer to build a bridge over it.
