Doo dee doo dee AUGH MY WRIST
« on: June 05, 2011, 08:57:19 pm »

Genesis mod.
My stone dwarf miner fell a couple z-levels, healed up mostly, and died from infection suddenly a season later while mining out a new storeroom. He was almost legendary too!
But he didn't show any signs of having an infection, like slowing down or unhappy thoughts, unless you count a bloodstain on his wrist that he couldn't clean off despite taking soap and apparently immersing himself in a murky pool.

...WTF?
Will savescumming do any good? I really don't like savescumming, but will to save my dwarf!

[GreatWyrmGold] gets a little crown. May it forever be his mark of Cain; let no one argue pointless subjects with him lest they receive the same.

Infections are notorious for being unpredictable and deadly.  There's very likely no hope...

...yes, it generally helps to have a hospital and soap if you don't want people to die of infection...
