Dark Knights was semi-dark webcomic created by Alex Villaplana...

Just reminding everyone what, exactly, you are putting tropes into...

Episodes, issues, same thing.

Think of it like Sim City, except with rival mayors that seek to destroy your citizens by arming legions of homeless people and sending them to attack you.

Episode KINDA throws you off, though. Make it sound more... fitting.

Don't want anyone getting the wrong idea.

Humanoid Abomination: Every single Dark God, apart from the third, who Was Once A Man is pretty much this.

Animal Motifs: All of the villains are associated with certain animals. For example, a tiger is featured in a panel just before the first encounter with Prince Sufahya, and the hallway outside Agatha's office is filled with murals of predatory birds. Thorne's prominent lynx motif serves as an early warning to his eventual betrayal on year five.

Heterosexual Life Partners: Johnson and Hugh, though there are always those who claim to see something else in their relationship.

Power Trio: Up until year three, Johnson, Hugh and Three-Cogs form one. Turned into a Four Temperament Ensemble with the addition of Zoe, with some personality reworks for everyone much to the frustration of the fans. Then, it's turned into a Five-Man Band until Morbis leaves on year five, breaking the group apart for good. The remaining years are pretty much a perfect example of Four Lines All Waiting, until everyone is united on the last year.

Ridiculously Human Robots: Averted with Three-Cogs and other machines in the ruins.

Evil Versus Evil: Pretty much anything the Dark Knights themselves do.

The Knights Templar: The Blood Knights, effectively. To the point where their Armour is indentical.

Lawful Neutral: The Blood knights, again.

Black And Gray Morality: Black Knights and Blood Kinghts, respectively.
