Titans Trapped (trapped megabeasts)
« on: November 09, 2007, 02:46:00 pm »

I trapped a titan in a wooden cage. Nice of course, but a bit silly, you shouldn't be able to trap such large creatures in cages.

Sorry if it already has been posted, but I couldn't find it. </disclaimer>

Perhaps megabeasts should only be able to be trapped in adamantine cages?

Or better, give them a chance to escape from traps over time, depending on the quality and type of materials used in the cage.

Ooo... Random escape rolls every season based on quality/material.  I like that.

I trapped a hydra in a wooden cage a couple minutes after he killed two dwarves. But the Dungeon Master tamed him about a minute later, so him breaking out wouldn't be such a problem anymore (I hope!).  :D

Okay, I think I may execute my dungeon master. He claimed that the hydra was tame, but when I ordered it moved to a rope to guard an entrance, it started killing dwarves again. I lost one of my founding dwarves and two brewers before the zerg arrived to dogpile it to death (and lost two or three more in the zerg).

I wonder if that's related to the "tame elephants who have tasted dwarven blood aren't really tame" bug from the 2-D version?

In chatting with some people elsewhere and looking at other threads here, it seems apparent that the bug is still present.
