I assigned two war dogs to a mason in a strange mood.  After the mason went berserk and got slaughtered by two guards, the war dogs still have the dead mason listed as their owner in the animals screen.  I am uncertain of whether thats just an interface typo, or if the dogs are actually still believing their owner to be alive.

I also have something like that.  I had assigned some war dogs to a hunter, and when he was killed by wolves the war dogs still counted as his pets.

I have the same problem. My master leatherworker lost a masterwork item somehow, and I assiged two war dogs to him so they'll attack him if he ever goes berzerk. Which he did after a long while of being miserable.

Not only did the war dogs never meet the leatherworker 'cause they were chained (this itself should be considered a bug, if they're chained they should not be "available"), but they are still owned by him even after he been killed by my champion sherif instead of being imprisoned for his crimes...

Old, bug is old. This happens with most pets.
