33g: new trade interface: totems

In the new trade interface, I went to the Crafts group and selected all the bins I saw there for trading, but I had one bin which was full of skull totems and wasn't listed under Crafts. I hade to go to the 'All' list, find that finished goods bin, and add it manually.

Where did you find a Crafts group? I searched far and wide for it, and it wasn't there. I found the finished goods bins only in the All section. The bins were filled with stone mugs.

I know my last caravan had a crafts group, instruments group, toys group, etc. I'd imagine that would mean there'd also be a mugs group and possibly a totems group, but I tend to not make mugs and don't pay attention to totems. Maybe it's on occasion not making the right categories show up?

But hey, that's what filtering by whatever you type is for.

I can verify, Totems and Mechanisms do not show up on the trade interface.  You must go to the ALL category and select them manually, which is aggrivating to say the least.

Also, prepared meals do not have a category in the trade interface.

It's listed 3rd to last provided you have "crafts" such as music boxes and whatnot made with the "make crafts" workshop item.  I've noticed it missing when either I have none or they're already all at the depot.

mugs and totems are not crafts.  crafts are only the things your dwarves make when told to make (rock/bone/etc)crafts.

I came here to make a proposition that the Toady One should make totems and mechanisms also listed in trade list. I was also cosidering that in the trade screen you could list your products by their materials, like all thing made of bone, or stone, or leather etc. and also sub-materials, like goblin bones, granite or cat leather.  It would speed the finding of specific products, like totems and platinum crafts a lot...

I'd like to see prepared meals show up, as well.  I spend an inordinate amount of time in the trade interface (more than BEFORE it was enhanced, actually) finding +Dwarven wine roast+ to trade with the elves, who apparently love the stuff.  (Though I do have to make sure it doesn't contain any ground-up kitten, more's the pity.)

If there was a Food category, that'd be helpful.  At least then I wouldn't have to scroll through 500 pages of rocks.  :)

There's a quite nice filter.

g(oods) s(elect) ROAST

or s(elect) WINE

or s(elect) TOTEM, s(elect) MECHA, etc.

Really, I'm very happy with the interface.  I imagine the missing categories will be added eventually, but I'd be satisfied if there were no categories at all, just the filter.
