I have a few tamed giant cave spiders but they keep biting and killing my dwarves randomlyxD
is this normal?

It's not.  If they tasted dwarf blood before they were trained, they may never truly be tame now.

i had the same thing, well, kinda, goblins attack me, all riding crocodiles, i train the crocodiles, dwarves get eaten but those crocodiles never killed a single dwarf, dunno why they did that

Those crocodiles are still invaders, that's why, same principal, different scenario.

Animals which are confined in too small of an area will randomly attack each other and your dwarves.  Put your exotic creatures in a sizeable pasture somewhere away from your meeting area.

If it's random it's most probably they don't like the confined space they share with your dwarves. Where are you keeping them?

Just let him go crazy, and hope for some giant cave spider silk from some of the fights :3

I think it might be that my dining room keeps them to konfined:)

one of them had a thought i haven't seen before.
