Enormous build but very skinny makes it sound like you've got Longcat in your fort.

Also: giant obsidian cat statue above your entrance that, upon a lever pull, craps lava on invaders. You know you want to.

I demand Cat Infantry!

Cat infantry? I DEMAND:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

(Number4 likes Bear Cavalry for their beautiful PPSz-41 :) )

Thanks for the suggestion, but Number4 is correct: [...] it would be easier and more predictable to just be a racist.

Did somebody just rule 34 two veins of metal?

:P

But even the Bear Cavalry didn't survive ambushes against the Finnish Molotov Squads.

Can you designate a tomb to a pet? This cat deserves only the most lavish of tombs. Try to get your dwarves to make high value legendary furniture to put in it.

Not sure, but you can forbid other pet corpses until it gets buried.  Or, I believe, if you make the cat's adopted dwarf a tomb, the cat will be buried there if there are spare caskets in the radius.

that actually made me LOL there.
I'm wanting that obsidian cat statue thing, but I have no obsidian nor any lava.

Trust me, you have magma, you just need to dig down to it. As to obsidian: magma+water=obsidian

In addition, you can set the coffin to only allow pets to be buried in it.

Use a pit/pond activity zone. Place it above a hole in the ground above the caverns and assign animals to it.
