Armorsmith not collecting anything?

So, my mayor, who is an armorsmith, went into a strange mood and claimed a magma forge.
I have everything she needs near her.
Why is she not collecting anything?

You probably don't have everything she needs.

Metal-using moods, including armorsmithing moods, can require a specific metal, typically the one that they have a preference for. If you've not got that, she won't pick anything up because she looks for that specific metal first.
