'n' button not working to add new items
« on: January 12, 2007, 08:35:00 pm »

So, here's what happened:

- Start New Fortress, miner gets drowned, Abandon Fortress
- Reclaim Fotress, realize that I made my tunnels wrong, Abandon Fortress
- Start New Fortress, attempt to get group ready to embark, only on the screen where you add goods, the 'n' key no longer functions, keeping me from adding new items

I did go into other programs and check to make sure that I could still type the character 'n', it worked.

This might or might not help. But a few times I hit N and nothing happened, but then I realized I still had something in the right column highlighted. So I hit left arrow to move back to the left side, and then N worked fine. Its a small thing, but easy to overlook.

Ah, that's interesting.  Maybe that was it?  [n] seems to break down when you are in the pet column.  I'll fix that.

I always thought that was semi-intentional.  There aren't any "new pets" to add to the list, hence "new" doesn't work.  Still, confusing.

There's also the possibility that you didn't have any points left to spend, so you couldn't add a new item. (maybe?)

Nope, I made sure that I had the points available.

And I'm 90% sure that I was in the left column, which means that it's 100% likely that I was in the right one.
