Drawing Applications

If I want to draw something, most of the time I just use PAINT. this works, but the allure of illustrated Forum Games is drawing me in, and I was wondering what Drawing Application I should use.

I was thinking GIMP, but meh.

GIMP is great.
Don't believe anybody who says it's shit.
It's better than Photoshop, really. :b
Anyway, paint.net is great as well.
It's essentially upgraded mspaint.

Photoshop is a lot less clunky then GIMP, but once you get the hang of GIMP it could very well work just as well.

GIMP? Free. Photoshop is very, very expensive. (For a program)

Photoshop is also fairly bloated.
And honestly, I find it more clunky than GIMP.

GIMP (2d), Blender (3d), and Inkscape (vector) are my three gotos.  All cross-platform.  Agave (colorschemes) and a few others I use, not so much.

I use GIMP for most things, and a few specific things I use Graphics Gale. But GIMP is what you want, it is full of win and awesome.

I don't think GIMP is far better than Photoshop, although GIMP is free :P

Yes. I was just commenting on her comment that GIMP is better then Photoshop.

I personally like Photoshop a lot more. But since I do not burn hundred dollar bills to heat my home I use GIMP.

GIMP is pretty much the way to go.

PaintTool SAI gets a good deal of love as well.

Quite no-frills for a drawing application, but it costs money to use it past the 31 day trial.
