Quick question about hunters... and burrows...

It seems like even after being assigned to a burrow they will still run outside and hunt. I haven't tried the "civilian" alert thing yet (just assigning them directly to the burrows). But I know how to do civ alerts... I have pretty much mastered the military screen *flex*.

Just wondering if I should expect civilian alerts to work differently on hunters? Also are hunters just kinda bugged (Uristarded) and still going to run halfway across the map at giant minotaurs unless I force their job off? Burrow/alert or not?

Laughably all my loose cats (YAY!) saved an entire migrant wave and all my original hunters (I had to force them to stop hunting and even put one directly in the military to get him back). Apparently minotaurs don't like cats and cats are fast, while minotaurs are slow lol...
