Forgotten beast in abandonned Fortress

Hi guys !

I've just lost a fortress to goblin invaders (and trolls were part of the fray too, but "sneaked" from an other side... Couldn't collapse my floor entry in time D: ), and I was playing an adventurer and some people were saying that a forgotten beast was in this fortress...

Does this mean it was there before, and my dwarfes had been lucky, or that it came with the invaders, or again just some random settling ?

I feel that I'll have to assemble a crusade of dwarves to take care of this gob' army  :P

It was probably in the caverns. Sometimes the teleport to the surface on abandon.
