Natural floods and magma channels
« on: January 03, 2007, 03:55:00 am »

Thought it was odd (and actually I'm a little thankful) that a natural flood fills a magma channel causing no steam (nor does the flood water "evaporate").  Both floods exist on top of one another and don't interact.
Can produce a save if you need it.

Its also odd, that the floodwater reaches the top of aquaducts. I had a noble killed in a hilarious way, when a flood washed him into the center of a lava filled aquaduct. I posted the story in another thread. I would think, if anything, somebody in the river would first be bashed against the side of one, and then be sucked thru UNDER it. But at least it doesnt make steam, which might kill anyone who happened to be near one when the river floods.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about the "fills aquaducts like bridges" part.  Most of my aquaducts have a section of land right next to the channel that borders the aquaduct, so I'd kinda forgot about it.

I can probably fix up the natural flood / magma channel problem, but the rest will have to wait for Z flows.  Aqueducts just can't work the way it is now, without excessive special cases.
