Liger and Tiglon, new mules?
« on: May 03, 2011, 01:08:48 pm »

Yeah I do not feel that these tiglons and ligers will be necessary, but just as a test, how would you begin to make hybrid creatures?
Also as they might share area in df it could be quite interesting to meet some as an adventurer and if they'd band up it could even mean fun in fortress mode.

EDIT: I have made a few creatures already, so I think I can handle it pretty well (or at least is under the ilusion of that).

Thanks for any and all help

It's not possible at the moment. The most you could do is make them embarkable with the different genders being separate species to simulate sterility (or just having one gender, like DF mules) You can't define which castes can breed with which other ones and what they produce, but if you could, I imagine that's how it'd end up being done down the line.

The Tiglon and Liger are not sterile, but it is sad that it is impossible...
However thanks for the answer, I will have to see what I can do about it...
