Making arachnid man, need help

Hey. I want to make an arachnid man for fun, and practicing modding DF, but I'm stuck on a few things.

The spoiler above contains the wip raws, and I'm pondering a few things.

First, how do I add extra arms, a spinner, and make them lay eggs and have an exoskeleton instead of hair? This was based off of a rodent man, which probably wasn't the best idea.

And second, what should I add to make this a proper arachnid man? I'm very new to the DF modding business.

And what happened to that thread for modding help? It disappeared.

If you want an example of an entire functional aracnid man race, you should look up Rhenyas Drow mod.  The Drider fit the bill well, and the only thing that makes them not a major player in that mod is the fact that they're an underground race.
