So while playing Adventure Mode, I started thinking to myself, "It seems too straight forward to just go out and kill someone as a mission."
I've been thinking that since the Taverns release is coming out, I thought that it would be cool if, instead of going out to assassinate someone because of whatever, you could arrest them and bring them back to the/a town with a jail and throw them in there.

I've also considered that someone would have to have a reputation with a town before being assigned this task. In order to arrest someone, I imagine they would have to be unconscious preemptively to get shackles or something on them. After whoever have been arrested and jailed, you could maybe get a bounty reward for your acts of kindness.

However, now I wanted some more challenge and embarked to evil biome.

You might want to read over the devpage, especially on the parts about Adventure Role: Thief.

Toady's going to work on non-lethal attacks and taking prisoners soon, but as he notes, until there's a way to get out of prison, there's little reason to get put in one.  Probably, when the player can be arrested for his/her wrongdoing, we're also going to get the ability to arrest brigands and the like for their wrongdoings, as well.

Personally, I like [DF] because after climbing the damned learning cliff, I'm too elitist to consider not liking it.
"And no Frankenstein-esque body part stitching?"

New skill:

LOCKPICKING!

Legendary lockpickers can easily get out of any non-masterpiece cage/jail within a few moments, while dabbling and novice lockpickers could take weeks or even months.

That sounds interesting...
