Bone Clothing?
« on: April 29, 2011, 09:39:54 am »

Just a quick question;

I had a dwarf make a bone shield during a strange mood, which is undoubtably dwarfy, and material doesn't effect shields as much so it is made all the better.

Is the dwarf able to make literally ANYTHING from the bones? For example, a bone robe? Has anyone got bone clothing? Or metal clothing, because I'd guess if you can make metal clothes (not spoilermetal) then bone clothes might work?

Thanks!

I dont think dwarfs can make bone clothing, not to my knowledge unless you mod one in. Bone armour however can be made.

Not sure.

I normally get twelve million dwarfbuck bone tables.

Baron: "I'm so glad you finally decided to have furniture worthy of being he- IS THAT MY WIFE?!"

Moody: "Yup! :))"

Baron: "Ok, good. I thought it was a cave spider. I hate cave spiders."

*On the table is an image of cave spiders in Urist McWife bone*

Edit: While I am here, what useful things can a WOODcrafter make with a strange mood? Because aren't most useful wood things made by carpetry?

The most useful thing a moody woodcrafter can give you is a legendary woodcrafter.

No regular bone clothing and bone armour is strange. You can make helms, gauntlets, greaves and leggings... but no footwear or body armour (I'd really like some bone breastplates). If I could kit out all my mostly-civilians in full bone, I would.

This is from strange moods. We are wondering if strange moods can deliver bone socks  :P

For some reason I got a disturbing mind image of a Dwarf Leather Thong...

Ah, of course! Moods seem biased towards somewhat plausible things (at least more so than, say, decorations). I don't remember any strange bone artifacts apart from weapons myself.
