Listing religion on passport (if they don't already do that, that is). My point here is that the most likely terrorists would, in fact, be Muslim extremists. Of course there would be ways to bypass this and I'll be thinking about that.

Actually the Irish are still pretty big as a threat. Oh, and the Jews with all their Jew gold. And the English, we're all still waiting for the rest of the world to let it's guard down so we can start colonising shit again. Man, those were fun times. And the Germans, can't let them have any kind of military in case they start getting uppity for a third time. In fact, we should just build giant walls around every country, no two people of any ethnicity or vaguely different skin colour should be allowed within eye-sight. And the gays too, they should not be allowed to mix with anybody else or people might be overwhelmed by gay panic and start beating each other to death! THINK OF THE CHILDREN! Oh my god, we can't let adults near the CHILDREN!  Oh my, statistics show most women raped are raped by men, WE MUST PROTECT THE WOMENZ! ALL MEN MUST BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED AS SUCH AND SEGREGATED FROM ALL WOMAN FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE WOMANZ!

Really, the world would be a better place if you just put me in charge. I mean, I'd completely eradication the concept of personal freedom, all crimes would be punished by death and we'd have CCTV cameras watching everybody 24/7, and I'd generally make Vlad the Impaler look like a fluffy kitten but...I forget where I was going with that one.

It really is sick when your own government lets scum like this get through to do a job that is unconstitutional in the first place. This is sick and wrong on so many levels and I hate it so much. These scanners are terrible machines and should be destroyed. They have no place in as great a country as America. Of course that may change soon.

I don't mean to offend anyone and I do realize that the vast majority of Muslims are very good people but I would say that Muslims are more likely to e terrorists than little girls.

Why wouldn't anyone on a terrorist mission just lie about their religion? Are you going to check all "muslimy" looking people, just in case? Many of those will be Christian Arabs. Should Arab Christians be scrutinized, just in case they are really Muslim terrorists?

I doubt you can tell a Hindu from an Indian Muslim either.

Any honest law-abiding Muslim (i.e. almost every muslim who is actually alive, and travelling legally) will put his real religion down out of fear of what would happen if he lied to U.S customs, and they found out.

Should they bear the brunt of suspicion? Or the "muslimy"-looking people who "claim" to be Christians ? (Spoiler: They ARE Christians and have been so longer than the USA)

A muslim extremist on a terrorist mission is hardly likely to be walking around in robes chanting "Allah Allah".

This is almost as silly as the Onion's suggested "Are you a terrorist?" question for visa applications.

I thought US immigration forms actually asked if you have ever had anything to do with a terrorist organization? (Along with asking if you've ever been in contact with drugs, which makes things kinda difficult for the Dutch...)


Anyway, if I recall correctly, most Islam-inspired terrorist acts in the west have been conducted by indigenous Muslims, so screening on Arab Muslims isn't going to help much anyway, though it could be a good reason to up the census fee...
