I played adventure mode once before where I was murdering baddies left and right with total ease. Walking through a mountainous area (one of my favorite things now), I encountered a rock lion that completely ripped me to pieces. I finally killed it, but lost some ability in my weapon hand.

"No big deal," I thought. I can handle things still, my dodge is good, it will just take longer to kill things. I fight a wyvern. Dead is seconds.

Acid.

It should be noted that my three fellow party members had a "rotten" everything for months of playing and they never died until after I passed out from the pain of the fat in my brain melting.
