Sneaking out the back with great ease, you make your way to the storage shed slowly, but surely. It takes a good five minutes, but the bandits don't notice you. You break in through the locked back door, and begin making your way to the area the bandit leader went to. You eventually find them on the second floor of the building, and successfully kill him with a quick stab through the back of his skull. The community leader looks shocked that the bandit died, and quickly frees the slave once he realizes what just happened.
The slave is a young boy, he seems to be an orphan. Regardless, you go back down, and only two of the bandits are in the waiting spot. The other three appear to have gone into one of the houses. You kill off the two who were acting as lookout, then hide behind a bush while you wait for the other three, who are nowhere to be found.

Sneak into the house and pick them off one by one as opportunities arise.

You see the shadows of the bandits in a house, so you decide to sneak in while they're distracted. The slave accompanies you, for some reason. The bandits are trying to buy off the women of the family that owns the house, and failing miserably to do so. You manage to cleanly slice off one's head, and the other two turn around in time to get a stab off on you. Your cheek gets a small scratch, and your thigh gets a clean jab. You shake off the pain and kill the remaining bandits. The bandits are cleared out, and the community leader awards you half the copper coins he was going to pay the bandits as a reward.(50 copper coins)
You spend the next two weeks recovering, and are given directions to three nearby towns. One to the west, one to the south, and one to the southeast.

==> Ask the slave their name and why they were following us. If they seem friendly, offer to let them accompany us west.

Asking the ex-slave-boy-person results in very little, as he wasn't given one. You decide to name him Reginald, and tell him he's your pupil from now on. You gather your bearings and begin your trek west. After a few days, some wandering swordsmen stumble upon you and Reginald. They notice that you have swords and money and challenge you to a duel for half of both. There's one larger swordsman among them who appears to be the leader, two guys around your height who seem completely disinterested, and then two smaller men who are the ones challenging you.(not children)

==> Don't trust them; most likely the other three will jump in once we start fighting. Politely decline and lie, saying we're escorting Reginald home and that everything we're carrying save for my own sword is meant for his family and we can't wager it.

You once again lie, saying that you are Reginald's escort home. The two smaller men still continue their harassment, and the other three walk away warning them not to attack you. The two small ones stay for a while, and eventually draw their blades. They're fairly quick, and manage to both strike your chest. Annoyed at the new 'X' on your chest you cut their right arms off while they run around like acrobats.
The three larger men return to collect their comrades, distracting you enough for the small ones to escape to their leader. The two men of your height apologize for the trouble and pay you two silver coins to drop the incident right there.
For the next week you and Reginald stay in the same spot to train. You eventually continue your journey, and reach the western town. You rent a room at the inn, and take a bath to get the blood off you. Reginald runs off on his own, and eventually comes back with some new friends and bread. The sight makes you consider staying in town for a while as a guard, maybe even the chief protector of the land. At the same time you feel a need to continue your journey so you can continue to get stronger.
A day after your arrival a man collapses in the town square, and you discover that it was your friend. You speak with him briefly, and you both agree to go on separate journeys. You purchase a fairly detailed map from a caravan, and mark a few notable training spots. There are also some noteworthy fighters pre-marked. You can go after fame, or continue training for another year.
(all training spots are to the north, all fame spots are further to the west)

You take three days to reach a cave where a famous knight trained for twelve years without contact with society, and take a second look at the map you bought. Most of the fighters appear to be axe users, but among the notable names is a scythe master, a great sword master, and a polearm master. You train for a few weeks with Reginald, but without a clear opponent to visualize, you don't make much progress yourself. Reginald, on the other hand, has made great progress on his basic slash you taught him. You decide to strap heavy rocks to your practice sword to help increase your strength for the time being.

Actions?(If you have any specific way you want to train, then say so)

===> Train specifically to fight the swordmaster, and focus on raising stamina as well by jogging several miles each day. The man who lasts the longest in a fight is the man who will win.

You decide that the great sword master is the only way to go for now. You begin building up stamina by running with weights strapped to your limbs. In order to further improve strength you also take up walking on your hands for at least 2 hours a day. Reginald tries to follow your exercises, but doesn't seem like it will ever happen. You have no idea what kind of weapon Reginald could specialize in. Your training progresses smoothly, and your weighted swings become faster by the day. After a month of training, you feel confident you can take on the master, but your weapons probably won't keep up.
You go into town to buy a larger sword, and notice that while you were gone a moderate sized army has replaced the local guards. You don't recognize any of the soldiers. The store has a few swords you'd like for a smaller opponent, but the only weapon that seems feasible to use is a large broadsword. It's also the only weapon you can afford, so you take it. Some soldiers stop you on your way out and ask why you bought your new sword.

Fight or flight?
