If you can make kitten biscuits then you can have slavery
Cat meals are as acceptable to dwarves as cow meals. You might as well say 'if you can make beefburgers, what's wrong with slavery?', and it would be just as relevant a comparison.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

If I can slaughter goblins, I should be able to make a nuke.

Prepare for some flaming. The same 3 people attack any thread that deals with getting rid of prisoners.

I would prefer it if you didn't generalize, I for one want an easy way to execute prisoners. Having to build a 50z level tall tower is Fun, but tedious. A simple, 'execute' command would please me. But Toady has specifically stated in the Raws that normal dwarves do not use slavery.
Create a pit over magma they almost always sink fast. if yi feel like beeing cruel use an irone cage and drop them condemning them to eternal damnation at the botom of the magma sea.

Despite what the player does a dwarf would like nothing more then to sit down with a mushroom of some kind and carve a mug they will never use.
The dwarfs don't see a death chamber; they see a lever and know to clean the bodies out.

We do things dwarfs can't/won't because we are evil jerks.

The simplest solution to wanting slavery in the game has already been stated. Wait until Human Town or Goblin Tower modes of game play get out. Toady has stated before that those races will be playable inevitably, and to my recollection they use slaves.

At least the Goblins, I think.

Going by Toady's date cuttoff stuffs, humans still used slavery. I wonder how many years before the human/goblins are playable? Playing as goblins would be pretty cool..

Add [CIV_CONTROLLABLE] in their [ENTITY]

Problem is the other races don't have alot of the things they need... like digging implements, brokers and managers, the ability to make soap or be a farmer, etc etc.

It's quite alot of work to make a race playable.  But easy to embark with them, sure.

Only problem with modding to play as other races is that you the only changes you get are a few RAW modifications to you're civ and some different names, Like Hammerman, or Goblin Lasher. You kind of miss out on all the potentally yummy fun stuff.

As I posted above, Just chill and patiently wait for toady to put in the more sadistic races for your slavery needs. Like Goblins, and Humans.  ;D
