Sand mod works?

So I gave clay loam the sand_soil tag so it now looks like this:

But when I zone it for sand it says zero sand. Is this normal, or should it show up to be able to harvest sand from that spot like it does with clay?

I think you have to remove [SOIL] and leave [SOIL_SAND].

Nah, tried it, the same thing happens. 1 zone recognizes 1 clay, 0 sand

Edit - If it makes a difference I'm running Phoebus graphic pack

Did you edit raw/objects/inorganic_stone_soil.txt or did you edit data/save/regionX/raw/objects/inorganic_stone_soil.txt? If the former, did you generate a new world afterwards?

I did the former, and no I did not generate a new world, I guess that's the problem? If I change the data/save/regionX/raw/objects... file will it alter the game I'm trying to change?

EDIT - Just tried to edit the region raws, worked perfectly, thanks guys. Onward to Chaosscourge the 100z clear glass globe MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

I've tried adding [SOIL_SAND] and this turned all the relevant tiles to sand. It has worked for me in the save files.
