What bugs do you think cities will start with?

Because I'm afraid of getting a quest to kill a sewer bandit and when I kill him the quest-giver will attack me. Or even the entire city!

OK, I have to reload the save.
There was a bit of a problem regarding flashfreezing, a ballistae, and a barrel of dwarven ale. Gonna fix it up.

I'm sure sewer bandits, should they exist, will use the same ruleset as the enemies that already exist in camps.  Meaning that what you're suggesting probably won't be an issue.

I'm actually worried that some cities may be generated bugged in such a way you can't get from point A to point B without jumping over the city walls.  Which is much more likely.

This shouldn't be so bad when toady gives us the power to dig in adventure mode and destroy walls. (but that time he'll have people understand it's THEIR wall we're destroying...)

Badger citizens: Unpossible.  Animal men [CAN_LEARN], but not [CAN_SPEAK].

Trees growing in bad places: Possibly, let's hope Toady makes civs cut down the local trees for building materials, and pave their roads so this does not happen.

Carp Massacre: Almost assuredly, if you can get them to the river's edge.

What I fear most is not bugs but bad programming. I don't want to meet a bandit and then die as the nearby shopkeeper just eats from the magical barrel and watches.

Also, a bug that I am HOPING ofr is the possibility that sewers will open up into caverns.  :o

-Catacombs open to surface in steep terrain

-River + city + steep terrain = river combines with hill in entirely the wrong way and floods everywhere

-Living and undead population sometimes swapped

-House In River

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Those sound like bugs to be proud of Untelligent.  At least, I'd be perfectly happy with all of those, even the house in the river.  Floods much?

Knowing my track record, the city will up and walk away as soon as I approach it.  :P

Seriously though, I'm afraid of them being built into mountains and having every goddamn street consist of slopes.

Seeing as these are humans, the town's will probably be on the plains. You never know though...

City bugs huh?

Given how well human fortresses seem to be coded in, I don't expect any problems from terrain or anything, but I do expect that fast travelling to one will ALWAYS land me outside the front gate in an empty murky pool.

Other than that, I expect them to function quite correctly.

Though the open air sewers and sewers entering caverns due to cliffage WOULD be awesome.

I can't wait for a catacomb to breach bugged HFS and become quite accidentally a place deffinitely worthy of Adventuring.

It would be nice if the game recognized what had just happened and take it over accordingly.
