That, and since stabbing him didn't work, I decided to break his kneecaps and arms, which didn't wake him up.  This was while sneaking, in 0.22.120.23a

Yeah, they are heavy sleepers right now, but I thought I had handled the part about them being able to do certain actions while asleep.  Maybe I only handled that for the adventurer sleeping.
