Topic: Will these Elfs/Goblins attack me? (Read 601 times)

Hey guys
I've been playing on this fortress for ~5 (pobably more, I can't remember) in-game years and I've created around 500'000 db of wealth. Yet I still haven't seen any goblins, elves or humans around my fort. So I made I copy of my save, abandoned it and tried to reclaim to see where my fort was. I realized that I embarked on a small continent (or big island? I don't know) in the south west, where the red circle is. There are goblin fortresses at the yellow circles and elf forests at the brown ones.

Now my question: Are they able to travel over the frozen ocean to visit my fort?

BUT I'M BUILDING A HUGE WALL (THREE TILES THICK AND HIGH!) AROUND MY FORT! WAS THAT A WASTE?

If you press tab you can cycle through civs and see exactly has access.
