The general of the guild immeadiately tells you to go find a Catana if you've used one before. He must be thinking you know where it is.

Tell him there is only one, true Catana. It was handed down to you from your masterful swordsman trainer, but alas, was stolen on one of your adventures by a trusted companion. The journey was doomed from the beginning and he thought he could get away with the best of me. He was right.

You find the Catana in the bar, after slicing some idiot sculptor's head off. He was trying to carve the Cat out of it while standing in what looked like an old adventurer! That was unexpected.
