Butcher shop becomes bowyer after fey mood

I just had a carpenter seized by a fey mood.  I only had one carpentry shop up, so I plopped down the blueprint for a second so I could keep making beds to deal with my horde of immigrants, and watched in bemusement as the carpenter walked right past the one working carpentry workshop I had and claimed a butcher shop.  He dragged two logs into it, and a little while later emerged with a legendary blowgun and somehow managed to change my butcher shop into a bowyers shop.

I've got a save game handy if needed.

Shop conversions are part of moods.  They'll do that sometimes when they can't find the shop they are looking for.

It has always been there, but they can mostly find the shops, or they are going for a blacksmith or smelter which can't be converted due to the special pieces used to build it (such as the anvil).

Does it give a message?  It probably should, since it's a fairly major event (which will almost certainly require that the player quickly make a new shop.)  And it should say what the shop's old type was, too, so the player knows immediately what they have to replace.

...oh, doesn't changing the type of a shop sometimes change the location of its impassible parts?  Couldn't that sometimes result in a moody dwarf walling themselves in?

I always build a 4 by X room, leaving a hallway at the bottom of all the shops.

It doesn't give a message, and they can wall themselves in.  It probably should message but having them wall themselves is cute as long as it doesn't cause spam.  It's like a play fort.

Do they only change the workshop type after they have all the things they need for their construction, though?  If they change it before they have what they need, they'll end up going mad unless the player notices and makes a new entrance...  and with a crowded fortress, making a new entrance could be problematic, involving something like digging through a masterwork engraving or breaking an important room or something like that.

I think it changes halfway through the actual construction of the artifact.

Oh.  I suppose that makes sense, then...  they're so caught up in their mood that they don't think about petty things like how they're going to get out when they're done.  For some of the secretive moods or possessions, walling themselves in deliberately might even be seen as a feature of the mood.
