Why are you still here?
« on: April 08, 2011, 08:46:41 pm »

A marksdwarf, a guard from the dwarven caravan, did not leave the map with his buddies. There is no reason for that; he just...didn't. Now he's friendly.
What will he do? Will he drink the booze of the fort? What will happen?

Whatever you do, don't kill him. You should keep him around as a pet of sorts.

Lock him in a 1x1 pit with a window?

Happened to me once, actually, a human trader decided my goods were beneath him and proceeded to storm out of the trade depot... And went insane and started running around naked in front of the fort with a crazy yak chasing him, as the other yak went and sulked in a corner, all while his bodyguard, a maceman, looked on in embarassment.

I tried piling some food near them and forbidding it, but I never saw what happened as they got slaughtered by Koshid's first goblin siege. :P

I regularly get traders who never leave even when the merchants of next year arrive, and merchant guards who hang around and help me fight off sieges. I don't know what causes it though.

Goblins are baby rapers. Dwarves are abusive show-offs.

That's odd, he's gone now.
And I was thinking of trying out a loyalty cascade...
