System Restore
« on: April 10, 2011, 11:22:43 pm »

Ok, so my computer has been acting up, and I need to do a system restore back a few days.
And when I say 'system restore,' I don't mean this sissy bull shit that comes with Windows 7, I mean it erases everything before the restore point.

Any help?

Actually, the system restore on Win7 is much better than XP. anyways, what you're talking about is a image, you would have to have a second hard drive that periodically copies your HD.

Damnit, I'm screwed then, at least for the time being.
Thanks for the help.

In case anyone else has something to say, I'm leaving the thread open.

well, you could repair your OS which replaces the system files back to factory default on the disk.

If you receive an error while restoring, then use it from safe mode and it should work fine. To get into Safe mode, you can reboot and use the F8 key right before Windows starts up.
