I'm going to have to try chopping someone's arm off then using it to rack up some kills.

Do thrown objects rack up kills also? Like can you have a pet sharpened rock that you've killed things with by throwing that will have kills listed?

I don't remember if it didn't decrease at all, or just a much smaller amount. But after shoving the demon's corpse in my backpack, my speed was still >1000 for the few turns before my legs snapped like twigs.
