Siege of Inaolia
« on: June 04, 2011, 02:23:39 pm »

Hey, guys. I just want to briefly give you a glimpse of a game that I've been helping with for a while. It's still in very early development -- there isn't even an alpha version yet -- but I think it's worth following. It's called Siege of Inaolia, and it will be a team-based third-person fighting game where you survive waves of enemies as they attack you each day. Development seems to be going along at a fair speed and the team is working really hard. I'd be glad if you guys would check it out.
I am one of the voice actors and I also help with the writing. Quick heads up -- the other writer (who is the one responsible for most of the information on the website) is not a grammar nazi, so don't expect perfect grammar.
Also, you can follow them on Twitter @SiegeofInaolia, and you can check out their IndieDB page here.

hehe overpopulated humans.
(I will turn this into a better reply after I've read more ^^)
The site seems to have less info about the actual game than your post :P

Yeah, there's very little decided so far about the actual game. There's a bit of story, though, and you can follow the development diary for (mostly) weekly updates.

It would've been cooler if the crimson knights and a massive army of conscripts invaded the orcs' last refuge and you played as orcs stemming the human tide.

Or perhaps you're just sadistic and enjoy slow-cooking your goblins/kittens/nobles.

Tell your modeller that most (if not all) game engines are designed for tri, rather than quad faces.  They're nice looking meshes, but could be optimised a fair bit too.

Sounds like a medieval version of Iron Grip: Warlord. I approve.

If you had necromancy powers, this would be a pretty solid way to prank people.
