[176.38b] Command line world gen failure
« on: February 24, 2008, 07:50:00 pm »

When using the command line to create a world, DF will crash when it tries to create the world_graphic BMP file if you choose a parameter set with a world size other than 257x257. If you choose the STANDARD parameter set (which is 257x257), it works with no problems.

A screenshot of the crash:

That particular crash was using the POCKET parameter set ("dwarfort.exe -gen 51 RANDOM POCKET" command line), though it crashes the same way with SMALLER, SMALL, and MEDIUM. You'll notice the DF folder at the bottom with the text files and the world map generated, but not the world_graphic BMP. That is why I assume that's where the problem lies.

Should be easy to duplicate quickly, just try to have it create a POCKET parameter set world through the command line functionality.

Tomas asked Dolgan, "What place is this?"
The dwarf puffed on his pipe. "It is a glory hole, laddie. When my people mined this area, we fashioned many such areas."

Yeah, there was a problem with the command line detailed map export.  It's fixed for next time.
