[38b] All world maps rejected

At 17x17, all my world maps are rejected.  I left it running for a couple hours and it was over 355000 maps rejected.

Known bug. It happens with all world maps sometimes. 17 x 17 works fine for the most part.

Well we're tallying up Massive Rejects...  I attempted to make a Medium world (Multiple times mind you)  And got over 160000 rejects.    Also It doesn't seem to use different seeds even if you set it to random... Hrm...

For those interested in this either bugged (Or incredibly bad) Seed.   I now donate its corpse to the forum scientists for dissection.
(Might also some how been the custom name I created *shrugs*)

Are you using mods or was this not the first world generated that session?  I got 4 rejects.

Vanilla  DF,  
Have a Save file from previous game,   probably the twentieth attempt in one session as every time I did it, I got the super-rejects... usually something about Rainfall, but was also the general errors.

it happened to me when i set "0" as my world seed and proceeded to continue rejecting worlds for all the set parameters. I had to use a fresh reinstall to fix the problem.

I didn't use mods.  I tried multiple seeds, though.  I saw in the patch notes it only took a few seconds, so I retried after each one took over a minute.  I tried multiple random seeds.

Reinstalling fixed the problem...  I did have a previous game I'd played.

Did you delete that Saved Game when you did the re-install?

Edit: Interesting Sidenote though.    My DF can succesfully Generate a Standard World... but not any of the others it would seem.

I've seen this on my brother's computer now.  I have no idea what's going on.  I'm not sure what could change so that even after you delete everything the game has created (saves/object files) and reboot your computer, the game still rejects pocket worlds forever (a reinstall fixed it on his computer as well).  What could it possibly be changing that persists like that?

I did delete the previous world and tried again, after the reinstall.

I reloaded an old version and replaced the exe and data/index file with the latest version and it was reproduced.  I'm guessing some file(s) other than those needs to be up-to-date and/or deleted besides those two files.  Basically, I was trying to update my game without erasing the tileset I was using.

Also, windows saves profile information about exe's some place (such as windows position).  I'm not sure if that affects it, either.  I have no idea what registry keys etc are used.

Ah, well... We're poking stuff in the dark.  I see wierd issues with games I work on like this infrequently (worked for EA and now for Sony).  I've had to delete exe's, move folders, etc in Windows due to wierd behavior.
