Persistent Uniform Across Forts/Copy Uniform
« on: April 04, 2011, 05:12:49 pm »

Two different suggestions, really, but slightly related.

The first has to do with uniforms between forts.  If you're accustomed to a standard uniform you like (all steel armor, for instance), you have to remake this uniform with every new fort.  It gets a little tiring after awhile, and it would be nice to be able to either adjust this in the raws or have a saveable option in game.

Secondly, it would be nice to be able to copy the same uniform for slight adjustments.  A steel maceman will be the same as a steel swordsman, save mace instead of sword.  If you want one of each weapon time, you're going to have to do this 6 times.  That means assigning steel mail shirt, steel breastplate, steel helm, steel greaves, steel gauntlets, steel high boots, steel shield, and steel (weapon) six times.  It's just monotonous and unnecessary when it seems like having a simple copy key would make life easier.

1) Good idea, but not all forts will have the same equipment because Civs do not always have the dame stuff (they might miss high boots). But it could act the same as embark profiles

2)Yeah, a copy function could be useful

Yeah, this request has been around for a while.

Embark profiles let us save a list of items we want to take on an embark, and we can load/save them.

You could just apply the same thing to uniforms - load/save uniforms in a common file that works between forts.
