Site finder issue (resolved)
« on: April 02, 2011, 12:25:47 am »

I just regenerated after having my fortress wiped by trolls and goblins, and I ran the site finder with the following criteria:

Flux Stone: YES

(the rest of it is irrelevant)

I found a site that said "SHALLOW METALS, DEEP METALS, FLUX STONE".  So I embark there.  Then I run dfprospector to see if I have the makings of steel.  End result:  NO FLUX STONE!  NONE WHATSOEVER!

Anyone else having this issue?

The map has flux stone, your just not recognizing at as such probbably.

Double check to see if its one of these stones.

Flux is probably a layer. Adding "-ab" to the console command should fix that.

DF Prospector doesn't natively count layer stones.

I know which are flux stones, that was DEFINITELY not the problem.  It does appear that the -ab command flag to dfprospector was the issue.

So, I take back my statement that it stinks!  Let's see if I can edit the subject line of the topic...
