'.' in paused mode but 'v'iewing unpauses

Steps:
1. space to pause.
2. 'v' to view.
3. '.' to try to step forward.  But that doesn't work, which is fine.
4. space to stop viewing

After step 4, you're not paused anymore, though you should be.
