Muttering a Name
« on: March 27, 2011, 10:35:25 am »

I'm playing dwarf fortress mode version 31.21 and one of my dwarfs gets possesed by a mood. Thats Normal. He takes a mechanics shop because he's a mechanic and starts to gather some stuff.

Then comes the weird part. I check on him  and it says that he's muttering about Istammerig. I asumed this was a diety or something maybe he wants a statue or a carving but I can't seem to figure it out.

I checked and it wasn't one of his Dieties.

Any suggestions? I allready lost one dwarf to this I really dont feel like losing another and this ones married with a lot of friends.

What kind of mood?

Well if you remove the [MULTIPLE_LITTER_RARE] tag from dwarves I think they have like 2-4 children each time they give birth. And if you get enough mothers up on the pillars you can probably get a good waterfall going.
Ashes are technically fire-safe.

They do the muttering thing when they are possessed and have finished gathering everything they need for the artifact.

They mutter the name of the artifact-to-be.

Really. I never noticed that before. Either way I think I can finally unpause my game now.

"Possessed by a mood" was a bit vague (and not the same as "mood by possession"). Anyway, yeah, you probably just didn't notice the dwarf has already begun building the thing.
