If you end up making bullets not go boom, enemy tanks should totally be a valid ricochet point.

@breadbocks: I'll make 'em explode! :D
EDIT: They now explode. (:
Oh. You should totally make a rubber bullet that doesn't go boom and does less damage, but can bounce off of enemy tanks fired with the down arrow. Then take the bounce off of the boom bullet. I REALLY want to be able to multi-kill. And I think if explosive bullets could bounce, the rubber bullet would end up so under used, people wonder why it's sill in, and then you won't remember little old us, so you take it out.

Well what I could do is make rubber bullets bounce twice. (:

I kinda think maybe you should have powerups that change how the tanks act? Or maybe switch between pickups you've ghotten, and they're limited use.

Shells should by default have a higher chance of ricochet off of shallow angles and are more likely to just stop when it's perpendicular.

Since this is all vector based stuff you can have maps with diagonal corners and circular pillars/corners more easily right?

Because the basic bounding in the game is boxes, not as much.  Although it would be possible.

I had forgotten about this.

I suppose there's no way to try it offline?

You can't play it offline because it requires more than one person.  There is a server up, though! (:

Not really, as it is a multiplayer only game.  I'd really like to see some delicious AI though!

It's very, very fun.  I picked it up quite quickly.  Once you realize "down" makes your turret rotate with you (It says that in the instructions, but who reads those...) it becomes a lot easier.  Definitely something I can pick up and try every once in a while, though there's no reason to keep on playing it continually...  yet.  =P

By the way, every time I start it up I get an error.

Quote
unable to render graphics in DriectX. Falling back on software (GDI) mode. If this condition persists you may want to update your DirectX drivers and/or your dlls (Byond requires DX8 or later to take advantage of hardware rendering). Alternatively, you may disable hardware rendering through the client preferences. You can access this by hitting the F1 key to pull up the "Options & messages" dialog, and then selecting "Preferences" under the "Client" menu.

I haven't gotten this error when playing Space Station 13

I'm guessing you receive this message because your DirectX isn't updated.  BYOND uses DirectX8 for it's alpha channels, which this game uses for anti-aliasing so that the rotations don't result in misplaced pixels.  I'd suggest upgrading to DirectX8, as it'd probably benefit you in more than just BYOND. Direct x 8 is an upgrade from whatever direct X we use today? I thought we were past DX8

*confused*
