Adamantine eggs.

Nuff' said.

Took the words from my fingers, good sir.(almost :P)

I believe adamantine is an adjective. Adamantite is the ore, which you smelt into adamantium, of which has adamantine strength.

Nnnnnope. The metal is caled adamantine in game. The ore is raw adamantine.

The problem is, no matter what you mod the eggs to be made out of, DF still refuses to treat them as anything other than eggs.  So even adamantine eggs can't be used for anything other than food.

You can instead use the LAYS_UNUSUAL_EGGS, which works in the current version.  Replace LAYS_EGGS and the stuff following it with a line saying [LAYS_UNUSUAL_EGGS:ANVIL:NONE:INORGANIC:ADAMANTINE] and your geese will lay adamantine anvils instead of eggs.  You can use LAYS_UNUSUAL_EGGS to make an animal produce basically anything that can be produced through a reaction.

Can I make an Egg Laying Cat lay Dragon Eggs, then?

It's treated as completely normal because this is Dwarf Fortress.  There's absolutely nothing wrong with surrounding yourself with a wall of flames, only to later realize that you're surrounded by a wall of flames.
There's nothing that can't be solved by hurling fifteen roc birds at it.

I don't think you can make functional eggs through reactions, so no. You can't make an animal lay another non-vermin creature either.

I wonder if you can make something lay bricks.

That's easy to do, just change the LAYS_UNUSUAL_EGGS product to whatever the reaction code for blocks is.  I don't know it offhand.
